Solution
The April Fool Murders
THE EXPLANATION

Chief Inspector Bungler received a letter at the police station which he believed was nothing more than an April fool joke.
However, when you begin to look into it you will soon realise that this case is far more serious. Did you manage to solve it?
The letter sent to Inspector Bungler states that the first victim will be dressed in black.
Who normally dresses in black?
An undertaker!
Go to the funeral parlor website and find the telephone number.
Go to the telephone box and ring the funeral parlor.
While you are speaking to them the man on the phone line is killed, the killer comes on the line and tells you his name, 'April Jack'.
Go to the police station where Inspector Bungler asks you for the name of the person who sent the letter.
Enter the name April Jack.
Bungler then asks you the name of the victim.
Enter the name Peter Orson. The initial and surname can be found on the funeral parlor website. The full first name can be found on the taxi girl’s blog where she has posted about her friend Peter getting a job at the funeral parlor.
Bungler then asks you for the time of the murder.
Enter 15:00. This is discovered by listening closely to the phone call with the funeral parlor where you can hear the clock strike three in the background.
Bungler then tells you that he was sent another letter but he threw it away. He tells you to look around his office for it.
Take a look around Bunglers office. You see that the bin has been emptied and you find a card for the cleaners.
Email the cleaning company and they respond saying that they emptied the bins and all the waste has been taken to Bloodborough Tip. They also give you a link to visit the tip.
My friend Frank Gregory has just been murdered and it’s not looking good for me. There is a lot of rubbish but amongst it you can find a link to the 2nd letter from the killer.
In the letter the killer says that if you weren’t such a fool the letter would tell you who will be next to die.
Turn over the letter and you will see the back of the various bits of paper used to spell out the words.
We need another clue before we can make sense of this.
Take a look at the vicar's twitter page. She has posted about seeing a cat and says that to find it you need to click the tree near the bridge and hold it for 20 seconds.

Click the spot on the map, hold for 20 seconds and you will find Fluffball the cat. Type in the url that is written on fluffball’s collar and you will find the fortune tellers website.
Look into the crystal ball and you will see various different newspapers.
You can match one of the newspapers to one of the clippings seen on the back of the 2nd letter and you will see a Bloodborough telephone number. It is a travel company. 06660 418200
Ring the telephone number and you hear a recorded message. The travel company has gone out of business but you can contact Tracey Thompson who now works at the Art Gallery on 06660 292966.
Ring Tracey Thompson and you hear her get murdered. The murderer tells you he has a myspace page. He says 'I am April Jack'.
Go to myspace.com/iamapriljack
The killer has posted another letter there.
He tells you the name of his next victim Edward Ringer and he says that if you want to speak to Bungler and move the case forward you should remove the hyphen.
Go to the url where you spoke to Bungler and remove the hyphen from it. Police-contact becomes policecontact
Tell bungler the name of the next victim and bungler tells you that he is already dead. He also tells you that he thinks the killer is trying to send a message and he gives you a list of criminals in Bloodborough.
